It didn't post my story of how I named her! So here it is. :)
When I was in graduate school studying Egyptology, on a cold night while I was working on a paper I heard this small, scared crying at my door. When I opened it, there she was, a little four week old kitten.
I wanted to name her after my favorite Egyptian deity, but there was a problem. My favorite deity was Thoth, a male. So, I decided to name her after Thoth's consort instead. It worked out perfectly because my girl loves water, and Tefnet was the deity of moisture!
