Thor, God of Thunder - Named for his loud purring & a rascal at play arrived as a surprise Christmas gift from my 10 year old neighbor, Amanda. She had organized her family to seek out a kitten to replace my male, Zeus whom we had not seen since about April. He failed to return from making his rounds.
The whole family was in on keeping the secret and went the 20 miles together to select this mostly black fluffy kitten. The family were all present for the presentation & introductions which started tears of joy in the eyes of this 63 year old man.
These days there are still many tears, but they are brought on by the merriment of his companionship and his antics. He will boldly interact with Blaze, my 10 yr. old German Shepard who tolerates the ambushing attacks and give chase to playfully mouth his kitty, if he can catch him.
I have a charcoal-black fuzzy
I have a charcoal-black fuzzy cat named Thor too. So named because he's BIG and bossy. Ironically he hates thunder. :)
What a wonderful story!

A Christmas Story
Bless Amanda for being a 10 year old with the wisdom to give a gift of a lifetime and a wonderful choice to name him Thor. It honors you all.
