The Perfect "Made-Up" Name For A Pretty Loud-Purring Kitten

This was the name of my dear sweet gray tabby/some other unknown special breed mix. Born in June/July 2001, adopted by me in late August 2001, Saycee (named "Princess" by the family who rescued her and her brothers) was renamed by my mother as a mistaken variation on an old song, "CeCe Ryder." Though my mom was later "corrected" by my dad as to the right pronunciation of the song title - the name "Saycee" stuck, with me coming up with the spelling. The name was 100% suitable for her. When she came to me, she was a tiny wisp of a kitten with a full adult tail that wagged her whole bottom, Yosemite Sam whiskers to long for her tiny face, and a purr motor that made you wonder if she was about to take off somewhere. As adorable a kitten as she was, she eventually grew into all of these and into a beautiful demure cat. A youthful kitten-like sweetie, playful up until the last two weeks of her life (though, by any means, no longer mischievous and destructive), Saycee passed away just two days before Thanksgiving, 2015 at the age of nearly 14.5 years of age. A constant companion through out all life's changes and shake-ups, she is greatly missed.
