The story behind the name "Morrissey"

I got the name "Morrissey" from Russell Brand's cat (which he has had since before he married & divorced Katy Perry). In an interview, Brand said his cat "Morrissey" is named after the British singer Morrissey. After moving in with Katy Perry, the couple got another cat, which they named "Kitty Purry."

My cat "Morrissey" is one of the male gray tabbies that I take care of in our neighborhood's feral cat colony. He started out being smaller than his siblings, "Kitty" (female) and "Purry" (male). I can tell Morrissey apart from his nearly identical siblings by his more distinct tabby markings, which remind me of the famous (orange) tabby "Morris the Cat."
