The director

the "Maestro" is the conductor of the orchestra, dressed in black tails and white shirt wielding a white baton he/she directs the orchestra/opera/choir etc.
As a music teacher/orchestral player with several conducting jobs this was an obvious name for our beautiful B&W fluffy kitten who used to come and settle himself in the kids violin cases with his older brother Simba during lessons and sometimes draped himself around my neck as I played. He was also rather vocal at feeding time and a bit pushy getting a wee tap on the head from our elderly cat when he wouldn't be quiet! He grew to have a gorgeous thick coat with the most amazing bushy tail. Sadly at just under a year he had an accident which ended his life, less than a month after elderly Sasha died. We miss him greatly. The photo is him hugging his older brother Simba as a kitten and is totally unposed.
