"Lucinda" first appears in literature in Cervantes' "Don Quixote," (1605) though it is unclear whether Cervantes invented this name himself. It’s pronounced (loo SIN dah). The name is Latin and means light. Lucinda is what I called my second youngest cat full name Lucinda May.
