From feral to furball

I came home from work and this little black body was laying on my sidewalk. I thought she had gotten into a cat fight and died. As I approached her, she tried to escape, but she was unable to stand or get away. Then I thought she had a spinal injury. I wrapped her in a towel and took her to the vet, expecting them to put her down. As I unwrapped her from the towel, much to my surprise, she ran across the table. The vet examined her. She had a grub in her neck, she was severely dehydrated and undernourished. After giving her fluids and food, she perked right up. The vet estimated her to be about 7 or 8 weeks old. She was very nearly feral. She is very skittish of strangers, but with me she has become a loving, cuddling furball. Since she was so close to death and has been "resurrected", of course, her name just has to be Zombie....Did I mention she is all black?
