Tanner the fetching feline.

Tanner is an orange tabby, and he was rescued from the side of the road by a woman who fosters cats until they're healthy. Once healthy she gives them to adoption centers. My girlfriend and I were at petsmart and popped into the cat adoption room to visit the lonely cats. Most of them are black and white, and young. Tanner though, was the only fluffy, orange hairball running around and was obviously the youngest of them all. I've wanted a pet of my own my entire life, but while I was in the military, it just wasn't feasible. Once I got out, I started looking, and my whole life I've been a dog person. But since my girlfriend already had a cat, who hates everyone and everything but her, I broke down and got Tanner. Surprisingly Lou Lou (my girlfriend's old black and grey cat) likes him and they play all the time wrestling around the apartment. Tanner already had his name when we met him, and it suits him perfectly since his orange color is light and leaning toward the tan. He turned out to be very affectionate, and VERY smart. He's learned to fetch and understands many commands.
