ShyAnn (Shybaby or ShyShy)is a Russian blue that I found at the animal shelter. She was just over a year old and was cowering in the back of the cage shaking as crying. Shybaby has been a member of my family now for 13 years. When I first got her she wouldn't let anyone but me touch her and her safety spot was on my bed. After two years she allowed someone other then me to touch her but only if I was holding her at the time and even then she would cringe as if afraid she would be hit. I'm not really sure what happened to her before she came to live with me but she fears men more then women. Shybaby is a very shy and timid girl and only comes out when I or my husband(he still cant get her to let him pet her unless I'm right there holding her) are here. When we have company over she runs and hides until they are gone. Even after all this time she is still the most loving and affectionate cat I have ever owned, at least with me. However even after almost 14 years she is still very VERY shy.
