Sheena was my little rescue kitty, a tortoise shell kitty who actually picked me for her owner. I was at the local SPCA "just to look" at the animals and I walked past her cage. She was straining and stretching with her face pressed up against the cage to reach me. Every time I passed her cage, she would press her little face up against the bars and stick her arms out in an attempt to reach me, so I finally stopped to talk to her and pet her. I asked the spca attendant if I could hold her in the "get acquainted" area and when I realized that she was such a loving little thing, I couldn't pass her up even though I really wasn't in the market for a cat at that time. After taking her into my arms and holding her I knew there was NO way I was leaving her behind...she was going home with me. Sheena would follow me everywhere, just like a dog, come when I call and race to me in the morning when I woke up and sometimes she would even sleep with me on my bed at night. I was lucky to know her and have her in my life for 3 years then one day she mistakenly was let outside by a friend of one of my children and was killed by a coyote. It's been been 11 years since my little Sheena died, I still miss her!
