DON'T 'call me Ishmael...'

My cat is a 10 year old, mainly black 'torty-lady' and she has a black mask on her white & tan face, which makes her look a little as if she's wearing native american warpaint...So, I decided to call her 'Queequeg, after the polynesian harpooner in 'Moby-Dick' - which was a favourite book of mine - rather than 'Tashtego', the real native american in the story, because it sounded more feminine and I liked the way it seemed to 'roll off the tongue'! She gets 'Queegs' or 'Queegy' too, for short, but if she's naughty I always call her by her full name, but can never stay cross at her for long because she's so beautiful!...x
