My Girl Purrl

Cat's Name:

On the way home with my new kitten I began the task of thinking of the perfect name for her. I had already picked out the name "Madison", but I wanted her to have two names. So, I began observing her behavior (adorable), her coloring(predominately white with a black "butterfly" on her head & ears and a solid black tail)and her geniology (Japanese bobtail/domestic shorthair mix). When I was walking into the house with her in the bright sunshine, I raised her up to look her in the eye and told her I was her new mommy. Her little nose was white and shiny as a pearl, so I thought that might be a good second name for her, Madison Pearl. But, she thought otherwise. When I started calling her Madison or Madi, she would run in the opposite direction. However, when I began calling her Pearl, she would stop and listen to me. The more I referred to her as Pearl, the more she seemed to respond to it. But, something still wasn't quite right. I then began to notice she purred a lot, so I thought that would be purr-fect! and Purrl was officially named.
