Kumquat, as in marmalade

A young neighborhood stray cat of about 4 months started visiting our back yard often, accompanied by apparently a litter mate. They slept together in the shade of our kumquat trees. The color of his coat was about the same as the color of the fruit on the trees. We fed him and his litter mate when they visited. After a couple of weeks, his litter mate didn't show up with him, so we took him in to our house and he lieved with us for more than 10 years. We found out that his litter mate (brother) was adopted by a neighbor down the street.

Every time we make kumquat marmalade from the fruit on our trees, we put a picture of him on the jar labels.
