How Katniss got her name.

Cat's Name:

My husband was in the movie "The Hunger Games" as an extra. While he was filming locally, our 16 yr old cat MuShu died. A friend on FaceBook noticed my post about MuShu and she messaged me that she had a litter of kittens ready for adoption. The mother kitty was killed and she had been their "Mommy" for a couple of weeks. I said I needed a female cat.
We met her halfway to her house (50 miles to the meeting place), and she had two males and one female. The female was precious. She is calico, tortoise shell, has one solid black front leg, and 4 white paws. She has a stripe down the center of her nose.....one side is black, the stripe is yellow, and the other side of her face is tortoise shell. She has beautiful greenish yellow eyes. She is quite prissy, but she is very active, very brave, and very strong for her size.
The heroine of the movie is named "Katniss". She was very brave and very strong, too. So suitable for my kitty baby! My grandson helped us name them. He said it needed to be something from the movie. "Artemis" is what we named the male (YES MY HUBBy COULDN'T RESIST- we got two!). Artemis is the name of the casting company.
We are the proud parents of Artemis and Katniss. My friend even posted an adoption notice on FaceBook.
LOVE MY KITTY BABIES!
