She Turned Out To Be A He

Boobie Doo was a female Manx when I picked him up from the breeder. That's right HE was a SHE when I got him at 10 weeks old.

I took Boobie Doo to the vet at 12 weeks old to get the last of his vaccination shots & introduced the cat to everyone as my new little girl. Nobody looked to make sure she was a girl. Then one day I realized that something had changed in the cat's backside area, something had dropped, oh my, my little girl had testicals.

I had never owned a male cat & the poor boy had been called a girl for the 1st 3 months of his life. He had been carted around in a pink & beige flowered carrier with hot pink fringe around it.

Everyone laughed at the name Boobie Doo, they all thought it was the stupidest name they had ever heard until they met him. Once they met him, they realized that was the perfect name for him.

I have had cats for the past 33 years & Boobie Doo was the best cat ever, he was so special & so funny, he made me laugh everyday.

I hadn't done my homework on the breeder before I got him & he had health issues. He had a stroke & had major complications from it, I had to put him to sleep on Feb 10th of this year. We should have been celebrating that day because it was his 6th birthday.

I miss my boy everyday, there will be other cats in my life but there will never be another Boobie Doo.
