Bodhi Is A Miracle

Bodhi has an incredible story. I had decided to get a kitty doing the Maddie's Fund free adoption day in NYC. With 85 shelters participating, I knew there would be hundreds of cats, so I decided to pick my new companion before the actual day. I went to three shelters and the Friday night before I was still stuck and couldn't decide bewteen three adorable cats. So I decided to sleep on it. Well, the next morning I still couldn't decide so I prayed to two beloved Spirits - my mother, who had passed suddenly three years ago and my cat Dinah, who had passed a year and a half ago. I asked them to show me a sign and send the right cat to me.

So I was on my way to pick up one cat, when I spied a real cutie in a cage 100 feet from the door of the store. I started to play with her and decided to fill out the application on her too and then decide in an hour. As I was filing out the application, I looked up to the volunteer, who would be delivering the kitten to my house. And there was my sign! On her nametag was Naomi - MY MOTHER'S NAME! I got goosebumps, I cried and I KNEW that this kitten was the one that my Mom and Dinah had choosen from the heavens.

She's a feisty little terror but she had me in the palm of her paw from day one! I named her Bodhi because it means "enlightenment" in Buddhism.
