How Artemis got his name.

My husband was an extra in the upcoming Lionsgate movie, "The Hunger Games". He played a coal miner, a townsperson, and a dignitary. Anyway, while he was filming our beloved MuShu got sick and died. He was about 16. A friend noticed on FaceBook that my kitty died, and she had kittens from a litter where the mother kitty was hit by a car, but they were ready to be adopted. We told her we had to have a female. She met us halfway to her house - about 50 miles away, and she had one female kitten. I fell in love right away. My husband was holding one of the male kittens - solid black and gorgeous. The kitten melted like butter into his arms. I told my friend that I wanted the female. My husband said he wanted to male.
My grandson who is 9 was helping us name the kitties. He finally came up with we needed a name from "The Hunger Games". The casting company is ARTEMIS CASTING......so Artemis it is. Artemis to me sounds somewhat regal yet strong. He is a BIG KITTEN too. Solid black....not one other color anywhere except his gorgeous green eyes.
